Well i have another error now.
Can’t allocate a consecutive memory
OK this seems to have fixed this.
Is there a way to put this in the WNOS.INI file? As we have v10l’s all over the US and i can’t go to everyone of them to set this.
Is this something that should be working? Maybe i’m doing something wrong in the WNOS.INI, but i have even created a new one use this site’s little app and it’s not working.
i have never been in the BIOS on a Wyse device. how do i get there?
I just got to the office and when i open a few applications it says “Not enough space”.
Unfortunately that did not work. I have tried changing to 16bit color and 32 bit, with and without RGB565=yes and that doesn’t help.
Is this something that is fixed in the new version? i have been having a problem with the icon colors looking so bad for a long time now and would love for it to get fixed.
Thanks!Oh no i’m not talking about the text color.
I’m talking about the icon colors.
They are still 16 color and look horrible. i would love to get 32bit color, but 16bit is OK!
i have the text color problems fixed already. I just want the icons to look the same on Thin Client running ThinOS as they do on a Windows Machine running the PNAgent. on ThinOS, some of our icons are white because of this problem. So the people have to use the text name to tell what program is what.
Don’t know if this matters.
But i am running XenApp 6 on Windows Server 2008 R2. Wyse Thin Clients are V10L’s.
i am currently using 6.5.0_34. And it’s still happening. Is there something i need to add to the WNOS.INI file to change the icon colors so they appear correct?
Thanks!
i am having this same problem. and that’s the reason i came to this forum!
Is there no fix for this? The icons look really bad. and on some of our icons (custom apps) the icons are white! but they look find using the PNAgent in Windows XP/Vista/7. It’s only on the thin clients!
ANY way around this would be great!
And a note to the programmers for the Wyse ThinOS, FIX THIS PROBLEM!! =) i have been having it since I started using Wyse ThinOS back in version 5.x.
This is a big problem. To me anyway…
— Update—-
i JUST noticed this was from 2008! lol
Maybe they do have it fixed now. I can’t find any resolution to this problem so i don’t know. Can anyone help?
Edit the WNOS.ini file and under Display settings put this in
If the Background is dark, the text should automatically be in White
But if you have a light colored background and want the text to be in black, add this
DeskColor=”255 255 255″It changes the BACKGROUND color to white, there for it makes the text black.
Our background changes all the time, light to dark and so on. So i keep this in here with a # just in case i need it!
Hey there. Thanks for the post.
That did NOT work. I already had my desktop color set to 32. So changing it to 16 made the background look worse. But i did try the line and it didn’t work.
Is this something that can even be done?
I don’t want to spend alot of time looking if it’s something that can’t be fixed.
Thanks everyone! =)
I forgot! here is a copy of my INI
