BIOS 1.2.5,
Wyse ThinOS (8.6_027),
Horizon 5.1.19We can’t really tell because it happens in mornings.
We tried to unchceck “Fast File Upload & Download” option and we will see what happen.
Yes, we did.
I know that I should never ask for firmware but our devices won’t register in dell digital locker and I really want to update our devices to 8.5 version. Is there any official way that I can get it?
Ok, new intel, I was watching system logs while this time and I got this:
RDP: Tsgw: data type 000c is not supported!
and then remote desktop stopped working. Any idea what does it mean?
As far as I know, WDS is on a local server so you don’t need the internet connection but I can’t verify this information.
@Update ( I can’t edit previous thread 😛 )
I formatted an external hard drive to exFAT and it is working fine. Although pendrive in NTFS works normally.
Also, I would recommend you to use the Wyse Management Suite. All that you need is small knowledge of windows server and server itself. It is very powerful, easy to work with, and transparent management tool for wyse stations. Of course, there is a lack of options that can be filled in .ini files.
Nice, it is working, thank You very much. I added SessionConfig=ALL MapDisks=yes into “Advanced” Line in WMS. But strange thing, Pendrive (~16 GB) in NTFS file system is working normally. But external drive (~1 TB) is not.
Anyway again, thank You.
Ok, it is done. I mean, it is smooth now as on windows. I didn’t change anything in RDP advanced setting and in advanced policy on WMS. All I have to do is change “Mouse queue timer” from 20 to 1. I have no idea what exactly it is but now it is working perfectly. Anyway, thank You very much for the help.
Finally, after we sent back our testing terminal, today we received two new thinOS clients. Except for one problem wich, actually was with the wms more than a thinsOS, everything is working well. And still this dragging problem. I did turn off dragging and animation. Also, I was trying to configure RDP protocol features and tried a lot of options and combinations but it didn’t give me any positive results.
Maybe someone else has any thoughts 🙂 ? Can it be the problem on the server? If it is, I didn’t notice any troubles like those when I was using MSTSC in windows.
Thank You for response and sorry for the delay, didn’t have a chance to try it on PC.
But now I did and it is not lagging, it is going smoothly. The thing is, I am ok with that but for now, I have only one 3040 device and I am trying to convince my firm to use it and buy more but this tiny problem is blocking me because they think it shouldn’t be like that.
Sorry for this digression but I am pretty pissed-off cuz I am so close :/
Also, there is a tiny problem with a sound on thinOS. The sound is flowing but every 0,5 sec sound is interrupting like it is not clear audio.
Every “window”, I meant when I try to drag a window of any application in another place it is lagging as hell.
