I am new to the WYSE world but I was tasked to create a image for the WYSE Z90D7 clients we are deploying here at work. They are meant to be a multi-purpose media kiosk. Here is what I have done:
– Combine the two Windows partitions so we can utilize the 8GB Flash memory.
– Load a set of software onto the thin clients: (Adobe Reader, Flash, VLC, Skype, GotoMeeting, Webex, driver for Creative InPerson camera, Samsung external Blu-ray suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Chrome)
Imaging went along fine until half way through the software list. Where the resulting imaged thin clients will not boot into WES7. I have been working at this for many days and would like to know if there is something I am doing wrong.
Do you have the smaller fat32 partition on the drive? If not, that is why it does not boot. The small partition on the drive holds the Wyse info, format=no boot. You can resize the c: and other partition, but you have to leave the other “unknown” parition alone.
You said that you were tasked to create an image for the WYSE Z90D7.I have only tried to create normal image using an image tool.
Maybe you can try to add one of the image tool to help you out.
