    Hi,

We’ve just rolled out View desktops to a number of users here at our office using Wyse V10L clients. The majority of users have had no issues at all, but a handful have had to come to me each morning as they’ve been unable to login. The V10L is picking up the wnos.ini configuration file all OK and presenting the user with the View 4.5 branded logon screen, however on entering their credentials the terminal just beeps and returns to the login screen. On checking the event log on the V10L the following entries are present:

SSL: unable to setup connection (err: 5904)
    VDI broker initialization failed

I can ping the View Connection Server fine from the V10L when this issue occurs. A soft reboot of the terminal (Desktop -> Shutdown -> Restart) generally resolves the issue.

Is there anywhere else I can look for clues? Logs on the Connection Server? If so, where?

The V10L’s are running the latest firmware from Wyse – 7.0.1_30 (or 7.0_113 as it shows in Wyse Device Manager).

I found this thread – http://communities.vmware.com/message/1610516 – and my wnos.ini is already configured as suggested.

    Thanks in advance.

    Sure. There’s nothing too fancy.

Can you reconfigure your View server to work with HTTP instead of HTTPS and try again? Just for a test.

I can give that a go.

I actually rolled back to WTOS 7.0.0_30 and haven’t received any complaints so far this morning.
