I am a noob at this and I’ve just started playing around with this for the last week to get it configured correctly with no luck.
Here’s what i’ve done so far
*Windows 2012 Server with Remote Desktop Session configured
*Setup the 161 Scope option set to point to FTP server. (value: ftp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx? or xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx?)
*setup the FTP site on IIS on another windows server. (Home Directory: C:InetpubftprootWYSE)
* I have a wnos.ini file in this directory. InetpubftprootWYSEwnos
Questions…
What other files are needed in the WNOS directory? I am seeing something about a mac.ini file. Do I need this? What goes in this
Do I need anything else in this directory?
When I power up the WYSE, I get a DHCP but gets some errors in the event log.
16: contacting File server…
17: DNS/WINS can’t resolve
18: Cannot access system profile
19: Checking Software ftp:/wnos/VL10_wnos…
fire away…
bump?
Go to the Products section on this website and look for the “Getting Started” document under the Thin OS section.
That should help.
