I am trying to get the USB imaging to work, I have a V90L. When I press Delete on the Wyse screen “USB-KEY” isnt an option.

I see “USB-FFD” “USB-ZIP” and “USP-CDROM” All of these options say “Press A key to restart” when they are selected.

Anybody else with a V90 having issues similar to this?

    Hi,

Have a look at the .PDF in the USB imager download – it has the exact steps but you need to set HDD as first boot and then set a second option that sets the USB drive first and local flash second. This is because the USB memory disk looks like a HDD to the BIOS,

    Hi
I posted this below on another thread…anything I can do to help you please let me know.

“I successfully imaged a V90LE 2GB/1GB using a 2GB USB Memory Stick. The only issues I encountered was the image process failing during imaging from the USB. All you do to get around that is hit R for retry.”

I want to thank you all for the input and if I can be of any assistance I will be happy to advise on my experience.

I am now trying to figure a way to extract the image using a similar process to the above (excpet in reverse) and save it as a file. I have some custom software I use on the Thin Client and it saves me reconfiguring everytime…any suggestions?

    Thanks

I haven’t work with USB Imaging but changing this line in the V90*.bat from
    dl “=3V30,=push,=V30,
    to
    dl “=3V30,=pull,=V30,

    should do the trick.

Hi thanks for this info…however I wonder if I would also need to alter anything on the push script file…ie make it a pull script file…or does the line on the push script compensate for this?

Got a chance to try your suggestion out…doesn’t work
Changed the batch file to pull…no joy…I have a sneaking suspicion I need to alter some other configuration file…any ideas

    cheers

    Hi,

Please download and use the latest USB imager 1.4, also take the time to read the manual that comes with it, both your issues are covered there,

    Cheers,

The manual is excellent and the imager works perfectly…I have been using it to image my Wyse Units and have had NO problems. However I keep hitting brick wall when it comes to “pulling” a configured image from the Wyse Terminal. I’ll re-read the manual again to make sure I am not missing anything obvious.
    Thanks for you post

Ahh, sorry I did not understand 😳

Currently pulling will not work, you will need to pull the base image with WSI. Painful I know, who knows. Next release?
