    Hi!

I have a Wyse S50 who can’t start any more. This happened after I remove a lot of Add-ons. The boot screen is coming and it starts to load, but when it is finish it i get a black screen and it is like it rebooting again.

I have try to restore to factory default by pressing G, but it is not working. I have also tried to flash it with the USB Image Creator, but it is not helping.

    Can someone help me? πŸ™

    Hi,

Did you manage to load the image with the USB imager? Or did this fail?

It should boot OK after the imager finishes, can you describe what happens?

    Cheers,
    -TT

I think the loading of the image failed. It came a message but it disappeared again quite fast, so I could not manage to read it.

After this it jumped back to the menu…

OK, try loading the image again. If this fails go the the wyse.com web site and on the V50L downloads page is the Wyse Simple Imager tool. This will load a new image for you,

    Cheers,

    Hi again!

I have not worked with the problem for a long time now, but I have tried to load the image with Wyse Simple Imager.

I tried 3-4 for times, but it did not work.

Is it any thing ells I can try?

I tried the new USB Flasher today, and in the beginning everything looked fine.

But after a while I got this message:
    “Unable to Open Source(boot-media_And_Archive_Size_Check)

I don’t know how much flash memory my Wyse have, but the part number is: 902114-32L.

I use the image file called: 5S52.i2d

    Go to this site
    https://www.wyse.com/serviceandsupport/service/rmarequest.asp
, scroll down and enter the serial number of your device next to the button “Look up”.
Then press the button and it should return you all the details.

If I read this description right, the memory amount is 128mb?

OK, this means you have a S50 with 128 MB of RAM and 64MB of flash.
Use this image to flash then first: http://www.wyse.com/supportdownload/5series/5S50-5150-5S52_6.3.1_21-64.zip

After that you can upgrade via FTP to this image:
    http://www.wyse.com/supportdownload/5series/S50-V50_6.4.0_19_wlx-ftp.zip

Each image file you are using has to be smaller than 64MB.
