I am very new to the Wyse technology. I just started a new job 2 weeks ago and I am trying to solve this problem, but I have very little experience. I am having a problem with very poor audio. At my job we are using Wyse C50LE thin clients with SUSE Linux as the base OS with Windows 7 (32 bit) as the virtual OS. We are running VMWare View. The problem occurs whenever I try to use a USB headset/microphone combination. The audio coming from the headset is very poor; there are pops and cracks, and it does not sync up with the video. But this only happens when I am in the virtual OS; through the thin client itself, the audio sounds just fine. I am not sure what to do to get the audio working properly. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!
Update: I received a reply from Dell/Wyse customer support. They told me that the C Class is not recommended for multimedia use due to the limitations of its Flash and RAM capacity. I find this hard to believe because right on their website, advertising the C Class are the words “multimedia and Flash playback, plus rich audio.”
Please, if anyone out there has any tips. tricks, or suggestions that could help it would really mean a lot to me.
