Hi all, new to the forum!
I have a WYSE 3040 think client with ThinLinux. We are testing it as an option to replace some existing thing clients and I am exploring how to set it up locally, without a remote management server in place. For proxy to the Internet, we use an autoconfig URL and I am able to configure this in the network settings of the client but the Firefox browser appears to be hard-wired for no proxy config. Firefox UI is really stripped down, menu button isn’t even available but I am able to access preferences by going to about:preferences in the URL bar. When I navigate to Advanced:Network and click Settings, the ensuing Connection Settings panel is all greyed out and No proxy is selected.
Any idea how I can locally enable this panel and configure the auto-config URL? Or, can it be done in some settings file so it doesn’t have to be set manually?
Update: I am able to set the URL using the about:config panel but I cannot set the network.proxy.type, it says the value is locked.
