Hi, I was wondering how I can reset the BIOS password of a Wyse 3040? I have bought one 2nd hand (for a lab environment) and I am looking to reset the password for the BIOS so I can boot from USB for a ThinOS 9 setup? Any help would be appreciated :). Many Thanks
The default password is “Fireport”
CG
Thanks, but I should have said I have tried that 🙂
I have installed WMS 2.0 and registered the device. I have also installed a trial pro license. Though the device registers any request to reset the BIOS password or set BIOS password settings seem to just be ignored by the device. All other settings seem to work work ok. Not sure this is expected behaviour if an existing password is set?
For anyone else in the same situation the bottom pops off and there is a pwclr button near the battery.
