I have a Wyse model WY-GPT terminal on which i attempted to set a setup password. But now it won’t accept the password when i enter setup.
So, i can’t use the setup option to restore defaults since this requires the password. And i’ve tried restoring default by holding down the G key while powering on the unit, but it still prompts for a password in setup.
Is there a default password for this model? Or another way to reset defaults which clears the password?
Do you know the correct model number?
Try “Fremont” as a master password. After that you can enter “MG” to delete a password.
This only works on Max 900 or Wyse GPT, all others (eg. WY120, WY 60) don’t have a password at all.
ConfGen
“Fremont” did the trick.
Thank you…much appreciated.
Glad I could help and that all these old memories are worth to be memorized.
