Is there any documentation on the write filter? I’m trying to set it where it will exclude a certain folder from being protected, but I can’t seem to do it.

I right click the systray icon and bring up the config screen but my options to add are greyed out. The filter is off, so I don’t get it.

    Hi Lrod,

With the new filter it has to be on (green) to set the folder exclusions and you need to be logged in as administrator.

You can set folders from the GUI or files from the command line like this:

    fbwfmgr /addexclusion volumename filepath

    Cheers,

Ahh so the write filter needs to be on. Gawd, I feel so noobish when it comes to this stuff. One more quick question, there’s two places to add. One is the File Commit and the other is Current Session Exclusion List. Is the only difference that one excludes files while the other excludes a folder path?

    Yes, that is correct.
But as TT stated above. To add files you’ll need the DOS command.
