Hi all,
I’ve rolled out s10’s across our site but now have the requirement to deploy a couple of dual screen clients. I’ve been looking at the r10L’s as a possbility but wondered if my existing config would work. My s10’s pick up the wnos.ini from ftp and I do not use device manager, would it be possible to keep this config maybe with a slight adjustment to the wnos file?
Regards

dale20. March 2012 at 14:35 #21951I din’t see your wnos.ini but yes with the R10L it will work, but depending on your server you will need Wyse TCX Suite to prevent programs spanning over 2 screens. If i would be you just leave the settings as it is just ajust the settings on the device itself, using this you can setup S10 with just 1 screen and have R10L with 2 screens just ajust the R10L’s device with multi monitor (dualhead) turned on.
With Wyse TCX you can run your programs full screen on 1 screen, without it will span over both screens (depends on serverside 2003/2008)27. April 2012 at 0:19 #22171It can be done without TCX suite.
Simply specify dualhead=yes in your WNOS.INI. Thin clients with one monitor will ignore it, those with two monitors can use it.
We use a combination of C10LE, S10, V10LE, and R10LE (some dual monitor, some single) all with the same WNOS.INI
Here’s the actual line we use in our WNOS.INI
Dualhead=yes ManualOverride=yes27. April 2012 at 7:43 #22172For the R10L you could also use
Dualhead=yes MonitorAutoDetect=yes
this will only work with firmware 7.1.109 and higher and remember this setting is only for the R10L devices.
