    Hi All,
    I’m using confgen to deploy some settings to some wyse CL10LE (I’d like to disable all settings except connection manager)

    I’ve created a wnos.ini file using “privilege=none” and it’s perfect but also “connect manager” is disabled. It’s possible to enable it using privilege=none?

    I’m also using “$mac” setting. There is a setting that I can use to rename wyse thin client by mac address (mac address xxx = wyse01 / mac address yyy = wyse02)

    thanks a lot
    Davide

    Hi All
    I’ve set on wnos.ini file
    autoload=2
    EnableLocal=no HideDefault=yes
    Privilege=None HideSysInfo=yes HideConnectionManager=no

    and it’s working

    It’s possible disable “global connection settings” on “connect manager” menu?

    for hostname I don’t have idea.

    regards
    Davide

    Hi All,
    just an update
    all OK (terminal name and other) except:
    – disable” global connection settings” on connect manager?
    – I’m using “direct commands” but I have problem if I try to shutdown a remote thin client. I have the following error “no connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it

    thanks

    No way for the “global settings”
    Direct commands were always kind of experimental. Wyse changed the way the agent is reacting. Therefore with newer firmware versions the direct commands are working very well anymore.

    A while ago i made a ticket at support and they have told me that the next major version (May 2011) will have a option to disable “global connection settings” button in the connect manager.

    I have always wondered why Wyse would build such a button.
