We are currently having an issue with our new test XenApp servers runing roll up pack 4 on the latest batch of Wyse devices we have ordered.

We do not currently pay Wyse maintenance for the devices, however the 30 x devices running 6.3.0_12 that we have, are experiencing the timeout issue others are having with XenApp R04.

I understand that Wyse are going to release a patched firmware version to resolve this issue, but I am unsure how I would go about installing the firmware.

    1) We currently use Rapport, can we upgrade the latest firmware using Rapport and not Wyse Device Manager?
    2) Would we need to pay maintenance in order to run a firmware upgrade, or is there some sort of time period (90 days?) after ordering new devices to be entitled to a free firmware upgrade.
    3) Is there any other way of imaging an existing S10 device to that of our other firmware? I have downloaded the Wyse_USB_Imaging_Creator_v1.41 would this suffice?

Suppliers that make you contact the reseller make things so god damn dificult ๐Ÿ˜•

First of all, Wyse has its own support, it is free and evyerbody can contact them. No need to contact and reseller.

Second, read the First Steps Guide on my website to learn about managing WTOS client.

Third, I highly recommend maintenance as it makes your life much easier.

Fourth, as long as you “only” upgrade any 6.3.x version to 6.3.y version it is free of charge even without maintenance

Fifth, if you upgrade 6.3.x to 6.4.x it is NOT free of charge.

Last, I highly recommend maintenance as it makes your life much easier.
