I run WDM 4.9.1 with several C10LE clients, only about 5% of the clients “check-in”. The others show nothing in the Last Checkin column. What could be the difference in these? All are configured the same with WNOS.
June 26, 2013 at 6:34 am #24012What firmware version?
Post the wnos.ini?
Are you using DHCP option 186 and 192 to assign the WDM server address to the clients?CG

I am not using DHCP option tags – i’m not sure how to do this
Right now I have to boot up the thin client and manually enter the WDM server the first time…autoload=2

LocalCopy=noJuly 1, 2013 at 10:59 am #24024I would heighly recommend to use DHCP option tags.
Check out me “First steps” document in the “Products-Thin OS” section to find out how to do this.CG
July 1, 2013 at 12:12 pm #24025We prefer to use static IP addresses at my facility because of the lac of DHCP addresses available, is it possible to put the static IP’s in the MAC.ini or something?
July 1, 2013 at 6:59 pm #24029Yes, put RapportServer=IP or the equivalent WDMServer=IP in your wnos.ini.

July 1, 2013 at 8:10 pm #24030No I mean like static IP address for each thin client, rather than using DHCP. All our clients have static addresses assigned in DNS, which I currently configured the first time I boot up, is there a way to assign those addresses to each client
July 5, 2013 at 2:58 pm #24048Yes, manually on each client.
