Hi, new to the forum and to WDM… I am working with C30LE’s and I managed to pull the device configuration from one of the units and I am trying to push it to other C30’s but they will not take. They act as though they are being configured from the screen of the unit and from the WDM console but when they reboot they are the same unconfigured units as well as the IP for the WDM server on the agent has been cleared. So far i can only push the configuration to the orginal unit I took it from. Is this normal?

    Thanks!

    Not normal at all.
Is the firmware version on all units the same?

I just looked and they both have the same version. 6.0 hot fix 1 build 666.
Like i was saying it is the weirdest thing… Pull device config from one unit can lay it back down on the same unit but the other unit will act like it is taking it but do nothing when it boots up.

How EXACTLY do you pull the config?
I guess you check all boxes during the pull job creation when you are asked what to extract, haven’t you?
    These are exclude boxes!!

Ok no so what i did was I configured my first win term how i want it. Then I right clicked on it and said get config. My options were to append or replace with the options to check the boxes below to exlude which i did not. After I named it TESt and finished up. When it was done I took the exact same win term and reset it to factory defaults. Turned it on put in the WDM IP as soon as it showed up on the WDM server I pushed the config to it and bam all done. Took minutes. I then took another unit from my stock… turned it on… put in the WDM Ip, installed VNC (remote shadow) upgraded the WDM client when it rebooted I re-entered the WDM IP on the unit and then I pushed the config when it restarted after that nothing happened. The unit looked exactly like i took it out of the box and to add to it the WDM ip i put in under control panel was cleared…. make sense? I am pretty dam sure I am doing something wrong somewhere.

    Sorry, I was on holiday.
Sounds like you did everything right but instead of excepting the new config the device did a reset to factory.
Have you any news on this?
