WDM 4.8 + S50 device issues.

    Hi

    We Recently upgraded to WDM 4.8

    The WDM is installed on Windows 2008 R2 SP1.

    Our clients are all S50 (SX0) running LinuxV6.

    We have set all DHCP options 161,162,184,185,186..

    Specifically Option 186 ‘Wyse Device Manager Server’ = xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

    I have wlx.ini and mac.ini’s configured and all clients connect successfully to the FTP server and run their configurations.

    However the problems I am running into are as follows.

    Although WDM server IP is specified in Option 186 (DHCP) and I even specify RapportServer=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx in the .INI’s the local agent on the clients does not pick this up and as a result no clients will ‘check in’ to WDM untill this IP is canaged manually on each client.

    Once I manually specifiy the IP on the client it is picked up by WDM.

    Also

    I am trying to use the ‘TerminalName=’ parameter to set terminal names i.e ‘TerminalName=TC01’. However I cannot get this to work at all. Any ideas?

    Maybe it would be a good idea to read the WDM release notes 😉

    Known Issues in this release include:
    
•Linux V6 devices cannot be discovered in WDM 4.8.5 if WDM is installed on Windows 2008 R2 64 bit OS.
