    Hi,
I have recently setup WDM 4.8.5 on server 2008 R2 and windows XP and my client machines will not discover on the WDM console, I have added the subnet then scanned, added the IP range then scanned and even manually added the IP address on the the client machine pointing directly to the WDM server, there are no firewalls between and I get the same results on the same subnet and remote subnets, I also tested 4.8 on server 2008 R2, all clients and WDM are static addresses which from what I have read means the discovery wont work?, the client machines are V90LEW running XPE
    Thanks

    UPDATE
I have now got one device logging in by manually adding the WDM IP Address then rebooting the Client, I presume that means no DHCP no auto discovery so i will have to manually add the IP Address to the clients one by one?

    Thanks

No, you do not have to enter each device manually, of course.

Just establish two new DHCP option tags.
OT 186 as an IP address pointing to your WDM server and
OT 192 as a Byte Array with the value of 0x00, 0x50 (port 80 of WDM).

Hi, can that be done without a DHCP server?
    Thanks

Log in as an administrator, disable the write filter, open Control Panel-WDM applet and enter the correct values there.
    That’s it.
