Hi all,
When I try to remote shadow a device, I am prompted to enter a VNC authentication password. I don’t know what the password is, or what the username even might be (there’s no field for username).
I have tried setting up the VNC service on the client machine using the local system account and manually choosing the administrator account. this doesn’t make a difference.
The VNC service is not listed on the server machine (Windows XP). Do I need to install it there to get this to work?

I take it that you got that from the Wyse KB… it would make a lot more sense to allow the user to choose the password during install rather than making them spend hours guessing at what it might be
And if someone would also be so kind as to tell me how I might change that password (or refer me to the KB article that does)…

PS: Has anyone else encountered the “Invalid session. Please resubmit the form.” message when posting on this forum? Of my 5 computers (one of them is a VM), only one doesn’t give me this error and allows me to post.
Yep, this site uses cookies and if your cache is a bit messed up you get the “Invalid session. Please resubmit the form”.
I also saw it on a few proxy servers that kill the session cookie, sorry but I don’t have a resolution to this so we will have to live with it,
