I’ve been battling with this problem for the past several months and don’t know of what the exact cause is. I develop and publish content using Flash to be used on V90 and V90LE clients. The V90LE seems to handle everything that is thrown at it just fine, even with high CPU usage, it doesn’t seem to struggle at all. However, the V90 will give intermittent BSODs that can sometimes be duplicated and sometimes cannot and it is very puzzling. Some V90 clients will never get a BSOD, some will get one occasionally and others will get a BSOD almost everytime when attempting to view the Flash content. I’ve been told that all V90 clients are setup identically.
The BSOD errors generally mention “win32k.sys” or “PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA” and mentions to check for faulty RAM or video adapter. I am not a part of the IT group at my company and they haven’t made much progress at determining what the problem or solution could be.
Has anyone had any experience with CPU-intensive multimedia running on Wyse thin clients and has run into BSODs or similar problems? If any additional information about the thin clients would be helpful, let me know and I will post it.
Thanks in advance to any response that I may receive.
