After a little bit of playing around i got a V90 running Debian linux on the 512MB flash. Problem is i cannot get X working, and lspci shows that the VGA Compatible controller is an unknown device. So the OS knows it’s a VGA controller, but doesn’t know which driver to assign to it.

My question is what video chip does the wyse v90 use for video and what driver should i be using for XFree?

Any help would be excellent 😀

    thanks

They are using a VIA chipset.

Could you tell me what’s missing, cause i can’t see the internal flash (512MB). I booted a few live linux distros from USB and no one doesn’t see the interal flash.

    Thanks…

Have you deleted all partitions on the flash and reformatted?

With my V90’s I can see the internal flash with both puppy Linux and TinyCore.

Maybe it is removed or formatted strangely?
Maybe a newer version of the OS you were booting may do the trick or simply a correct FS driver.

If the flash is formated NTFS then some embedded linux OS’s might not have that driver.
