    I am trying to use Gemalto .Net smart Cards to authenticate using a Wyse V10L , then to automatically launch to a published citrix PS 4.5, Windows 2003 desktop (not VDI) and the smooth roaming features of PN agent setup in the Web Interface.

    I get an error ‘PN agent sign on failed’

    Steps taken already..

    1. I have updated the V10L to ‘6.5.0_30’
    2. I have issued a user 1024bit SSL cert onto the Gemalto smart Card with a 4 digit PIN using Microsoft Base Smart Card Cryptographic Service
    3. I have put in the FTP site the attached INI file, which has ‘SignOn=Yes’
    4. I have created a Citrix Web Interface (latest version) and created the smooth roaming PNagent
    5. I have published a desktop for a specific test user
    6. I put in the smart card and the Wyse sign on asks for a PIN number
    7. When I put the pin number in I get ‘PN agent sign on failed’
    8. No errors in any event logs, except the one on the Wyse device
    9. The smart card works fine as an authentication method as I can use the card to login to any citrix server
    10. Installed Microsoft Base Smart Card Cryptographic Service Provider Package: x86 (KB909520) on all citrix servers

    Any Ideas much appreciated

    WNOS being used..

    Well, it is nice that the smart card works fine. As you said it is an authentication method as you can use the smart card to login to any citrix server. Job well done and good luck!

    Smart Card is the way of authenticating the most secured area and it can also helped in creating certain roles to the members who are entering with their respective cards. Good to hear that your work is done perfectly.

    Hi,

    do you really have all these parameters in different lines?
    PnliteServer=server.local
    ReconnectAtLogon=2
    AutoConnectList=”Desktop”
    AltCacheDisable=yes
    SessionConfig=ICA
    DesktopMode=Fullscreen
    SessionReliability=yes
    OnDesktop=yes
    ProgressiveDisplay=yes

    Try to remove the .local extension.
