Hello! We are running V10L’s using PNagent (defined in DHCP scope options). We are transitioning over from a XenApp 4.5 (win2k3 x64) to 5.0 (Win2k8 x64).

In 4.5, we had SignOn=ntlm and it worked like a charm. In 5.0, ntlm ceased to function so we set the SignOn parameter to “yes” as shown below. The problem we have now is with authentication. If the credentials are entered properly, all is well. If, while entering credentials someone fat-fingers a key, the V10L will not not return an error nor will it allow another attempt to login for 3 minutes. It simply sits there at “Contacting PNAgent/Lite…”

Is there a way we could enable some sort of notification when a login fails? When NTLM was enabled, the workstation would beep and come back to the login prompt with a login error. Any ideas?

What WTOS build are you using?

Thanks for your reply. We were on 6.2.0-08 at the time of my posting. We updated to the latest 6.3.0.22 and that seemed to fix the 3 minute timeout problem. Unfortunately, it broke our wireless. Under security –>EAP-PEAP properties, we are using EAP-MSCHAPv2. On the previous revision, 6.2.0_08, we could uncheck the option to validate server certificate. In this revision, 6.3.0.22, the box is automatically checked and greyed out.

    Any ideas?

Ask Wyse for 6.3.0_025 demo code. This is non-released code for testing purpose only but they have fixed a bunch of wireless issues in that build.
Next official release is expected beginning of june.

Thanks, CG. We’ll give that a shot.
