    Hello everyone,

I have an issue with displaying dual 1600×900 resolutions on my wyse V10L units.

With the 7.0.0_30 firmware, the units correctly deduce from my monitor’s DDC table that they should output 1600×900 on both monitors.

However, when the unit wants to output 1600×900 on both heads, head one will only display a tiny part of the screen (the monitor receives a 640×480 resolution), while head 2 will correctly displays 1600×900.

I played around with the resolution settings manually, with the following results:

    – Head 1 <= 1440x900, head 2 on 1600x900 will function correctly.
    – Head 1 on 1600×900, with head 2 enabled on any resolution will result in the left head to display the unusable tiny screen.

Hardware is a V10L Dual DVI with two Dell P2210H monitors connected via DVI.

Has anyone dealt with this issue before? Are there any known fixes?

    Cheers,

    Rien

Do you have this issue locally on the V10L or inside a session?
Check the V10L BIOS to assign as much memory to the graphic chip as possible.

Locally. How does one enter the bios?

Hmm, it was already set to maximum. Besides, the units can display 2x 1600×1200 so it’s probably not a vidememory issue.

I narrowed the issue down a little, screen 1 is not able to display 1600×900 correctly whatever you do with screen 2 (even with it disabled completely). The single head v10’s can do 1600×900.

I opened a case with wyse for this, let’s see what they have to say.

    Cheers,

Does anyone here have experience with the wyse support? I opened a case more than 2 weeks ago, and haven’t got anything back yet. How fast (slow?) are they on these things usually?

FYI, Wyse has replicated this issue in their lab and promised a fix for the next thinos release.

same thing here, for a RDP SPAN MODE issue

case opened mi-december : 3 weeks before a phone contact and => no solution, no fix, no product exchange proposal (11 C10LE bought and unusable) … etc

king of frustrating when you bought new products with a 3 years maintenance ;-(

I have received firmware version 7.0.1_13 last week, which is supposed to solve this issue. I will deploy it soon and report back here.

    Hey everyone,

FYI: The issue of 1600×900 not working on head 1 of a v10L dual DVI is fixed in 7.0.1_13.

    Cheers,

    Rien
