We are using a bunch of 3150SE winterms with Citrix PS4.0 in a office area. All the winterms automatically log into PNAgent using a single generic account. From there they access a program which requires them to enter in their own credentials…

The problem is at random times they will experience a flash on their monitor, and then it will disconnect them from their session, and then reconnect them into someone else’s session!

What the heck is going on here?

    Hi Glen,

If all the terminals all disconnect at the same time you have a server issue.

First things first – I would never recommend you log all the clients in as a generic account. There is a big security issue as you discovered with reconnecting to the wrong sessions. Also this may be an issue with the same user having so many sessions. Create a login name based in the terminal name – so each session is unique. See if this stops the sessions all bombing out at the same time.

If it does not resolve it and they all still drop together time to look at the server, switches, cables etc. Performance monitor and the event log can help to see what the server was doing when it dropped all the sessions.
