Are USB drives supported on the S50?

Yep, USB drives, floppy disks, CD/DVDROMS and some multi card readers. Check out the confgen tool in the Linux downloads to se how to set this up in the wlx.ini file,

Yea, I’m a big fan of CONFGEN but I can’t seem to find the settings for this…

When I boot my S50 with a USB drive plugged in and then go to System Log I see a line:

    In: /root/usbstick1/usbstorage-0: Operation not permitted

    Hi,

There is an example in the samle Linux wlx.ini here:

    http://www.freewysemonkeys.com/site/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&lid=44&ttitle=Simple_Desktop

I can never remember the exact syntax either 🙁

    Cheers,

Excellent! The following does the trick:

    ICADrives=D=Disk,rw

For the record, I still get the message:

    In: /root/usbstick1/usbstorage-0: Operation not permitted

in the System Log on the S50. No worries though…

Well it worked once or twice but now all I see is the local flash (linux file system directory). I see this with or without a USB drive plugged in. I’ve tried resetting to factory defaults and my wlx.ini file hasn’t changed.

    Hi,

Maybe we are not on the same page here – are you trying to map USB drives in a RDP or ICA session or locally?

    Hi,

I have not seen this before and drive mapping works really well on all the sites I have seen.

I am using the current build 21 firmware on the Wyse web site, maybe check the firmware? It a weird one…
