USB camera connection on S50 terminal

    USB camera connection on S50 terminal.
    Some cameras connect OK but new ones I have just got are not recognised (CANON IXUS 105)
    Is there anything I can do to get them working? (other than buy USB card readers)

    1)You mean cameras are seen like flash drives? OtherWyse you’re telling something new – S50 AFAIK can’t map USB camera (as video device) into remote ssession. 2)Can you attach this Canon device to the XP computer (as flash drive) without installing any specific driversapplications from Canon? I wasn’t able to do this – my Canon device requires its own software. Other vendor camera and phones – no problem, but not Canon.

    When i plug it into XP. it autoruns the ‘camera and scanner wizard’. It loads as a camera rather than a drive.

    AFAIK Canon is not mapping the cameras as mass-storage device but as a HW camera device. This only works when the drivers are installed locally which isn’t the fact for S50.
    Looks like you need a cardreader.
