    Hi all,

I have a few WT1200LE that we are using to connect to a Citrix server.
The current version of the firmware is 4.0.173i and only supports the ICA protocol. I would like to upgrade to the latest version in order to connect to a Terminal Server via RDP.

I have been trying the FTP process explained in this forum, but it does not work with these old devices. The Network Setup only has a box to enter the File Server name, but not the Username and Password.

Is there a default FTP account I should set-up, or some other way of upgrading this Firmware?

    John

    Hi John,

Its the same process to upgrade this firmware on old devices, set up an ftp site with anonymous access. On the terminal enter the IP of the ftp server in the Network – File Server box.

The terminal will by default use anonymous to login to the ftp server, it should look for the UTC_512 file in the ftproot-WNOS folder. Try doing a factory reset on the terminal if it will not upgrade first. It should upgrade simpler than you can say “lets hack FWM again”

On the wyse.com site is the 4.4.079 firmware which is the latest free version, this will support RDP no problem.

    I hope this helps,

    Cheers,
    -TT

I finally found that the source of all my problems was the FTP server.

I installed a simple freeware program called “Golden FTP serverâ€￾ on my local desktop and it worked right away! I guess that the WT1200LE could not reach the FTP server because it was not on the local network or because of my internet provider’s Firewall.

Anyway, thanks a million for your support. I have learned so much from this forum.

Keep on the good work TT, and don’t let those hackers get to you. 😀
