I’m having issues getting Mcafee VirusScan to update on XPe thin clients. I’ve tried installing VirusScan 8, 8.5, and 8.7 and the install goes as planned but when I run a AutoUpdate or try and manually install the newest DAT file it will always fail. When ePo tries to do the update or I run an AutoUpdate the same line always shows up, “Can’t open the specified registry key. Not enough rights or the key does not exist”. I’ve given this a shot with three different thin clients so I’m really at a loss. Does anyone have an idea of what I may be missing?
    Thanks

    Is the Write Filter disabled?
Have you tried to redirect tmp and temp variables to eg USB stick?

The write filter is disabled and I’ve changed the temp variables to a temp folder on C:. Anytime I try and run a SDAT update I get the following error: “SDStbRes.dll: The specified module could not be found.”
    Thanks,

I’ve got more than enough space on the disk.
