I currently have an open support ticket with Wyse but it is going on a week without resolution, so I figured I’d bounce this off the wonderful minds of the Wyse Monkeys. 🙂 Here’s a copy/paste from my current ticket:
“Using Merlin imaging process. R90L devices will PXE boot correctly and begin the pre-imaging process, however, before actual imaging can begin the process fails with the following:
“Bummer, could not run ‘echo’: No such file or directory
***WDM >> THIS IS WDM BUILD***
cat: /tmp/ifconfig.done: No such file or directory”
System haults at that point with a flashing cursor.
Tested imaging other platforms (V90’s) with Merlin process and it worked fine. No major changes made to WDM server or errors in the system event logs. Hotfix version is the latest release.”
Wyse support so far thought it was related to 1) licensing issue (but all my licenses are fine), 2) bad information in the “install” SQL table (that all checked out fine). Throw out any ideas you have as this is becoming a major hinderance for our IT department. Thanks!
Well, Wyse support never came up with a better answer than “it’s a problem with licensing…” which it clearly is not.
I resolved the issue by installing the latest hotfix on my MASTER repository. I’m guessing it replaced some files related to either the standard service or in the tools folder that was corrupt or something. Either way, it’s working now.
