    Hello,
    I have several hundred wyse c10le that I manage. Using firmware 8.508. I am unable to go into maintenance mode since upgrading to version 8 ( been meaning to log a call for a while).
    Whatever I seem to have in my wnos.ini file I get privilege=high after logging in to maintenance mode.
    None, low or high in the ini file always says that privilege=high.
    The ini file was not amended after upgrading from v7, where this worked fine.

    Thanks, Matt

    Could this be somehow related to your username.ini?

    All that the username.ini contains is the resolution & mouse orientation (this is only for certain users aswell).
    eg.
    screen=1 resolution=1024×768
    screen=2 resolution=1920×1080
    mouseswap=1

    These ini files have been in place since we first rolled out the terminals a few years back now.

    As I am unable to get into the admin mode I am unable to sort out another issue with regard to certificates

    Thanks
    Matt

    I have reread your initial post.
    You are saying that you are always getting Privilege=high when you enter the admin mode.
    This is exactly what should happen.

    Could you please rephrase your issue?

    Feel very embarrassed now. The system seems to have been working fine all along. I have never successfully got into Maintenance mode on v8.
    To get into Maintenance mode, I entered the password & the Privilege mode=high box appeared.
    My colleague said that that is just a warning, you are in Maintenance Mode.
    Left clicking on the desktop brought up the menu fine.
    Pretty sure that on V7 when entering maintenance mode it changed the display to as the same as if there is no config.

    Issue resolved

    There was no change in the latest firmware. Admin mode worked always the same way.
    Only the popup, no change of the desktop itself to reflect the admin mode.
