I have an Win XP SP3 box I am using as my WDM running 4.7.2 (trial).
Im trying to deploy an image to a Wyse thin laptop X90 running WinXP embeded.
I went to the Wyse Download page (http://www.wyse.com/serviceandsupport/support/downloads.asp) and under product downloads –> Active I selected the X90 / X903 option and downloaded the X90 / X90e WFR2 firmware.
In WDM I can go to Device Manager and see that the X90 thin laptop has been detected and shows up. I can go to package manager, to the images folder and create a new image for the firmware I downloaded. When I click on the package I just created and drag and drop it on Device manager it will start the package distribution wizard however no device shows up in the first screen.
I can go to “Other Packages” and go through the same steps as I did before and when the Package distribution wizard starts it will show the device that I want to deploy too.
Any help on what I might be doing wrong would be great.

If you unit is shown in this dialog depends on the OS that is currently installed on the unit and the OS= parameter in the .rsp script.
Check the .rsp script for that parameter and alter it if needed. Then reimport the script and deploy it again.

The OS listed in the device manager is Windows XP.
The OS listed in the .rsp script is also XP.
I tried to change the product tag as well from 9X90 to just X90 however that did not work. I see that 9X90 is referenced in this file a lot. Does that make any difference?

Check the build number on the X90 and post it here.
The only thing you should change in the .rsp file is OS=XP to
XPE or WES.

Is “build” number the same as “Image” number that I see in the Device Manager? If so the number there is: 4.010569.512
I tried setting the OS to XPE and WES and creating new images with no success.31. December 2010 at 11:36 #19745
Can you pull an image from the X90?
