I’ve been trying to get the configuration from a Wyse S50 with Linux in Wyse Rapport 4.4.1 . It seems like Rapport does the job. At least the config is displayed in Package manager – Device configuration. The configuration is automatically Inactive. It also creates a folder on c:Inetpubftproot with the same name as the config, but the folder is empty. When I try to send the configuration to a unit nothing happens and the update will not dissappear until I delete it.

    Some suggestions?

    Hi RJ,

What Rapport will do is pull the system.conf from the terminal and you can open the file in notepad and see the results. The fact the directory is empty says to me the job never actually ran on the terminal.

Was the job in the schedule jobs? Did the terminal display the “Rapport job in progress” dialog box?

Have a look at the Rapport logs the see if there are any errors and post the results. You can check Rapport works by pushing an image to your terminal,

    Cheers,

The terminal did not show any sign that a config was retrieved from it. But the dialog indicated that the “get configuration” job was successfully.

There is no activity in the Rapport logs.

    Hi RJ,

I few things to check, you mentioned the rapport job was in the inetpubftproot directory. It should be in the inetpubftprootrapport directory, can you check this?

Can you try and pull an image by selecting the “get device image (requires PXE”)” option on the device and see if it pulls the image correctly?

Finally, in the Rapport configuration options set the logging to debug and try and pull the config again and then run a log report to see what it says. You should see any errors from there.

I am searching for a starting point still,

    Cheers,
