I have Wyse 5010 clients running ThinOS 8.6_013 and connecting to Windows Server 2019 RDSH. When I connect both a USB Headset and a USB Webcam, both are recognized by the thin client, but only one will work at a time in the remote desktop session. So if I have the only webcam connected, it works on the remote. If I have only the headset connected, it works on the remote. What am I missing?

    Hi,

There is list of ThinOS supported USB (composite) devices. Headsets and Cameras.

My experience is that an unsupported webcam will work for the video part but most probably the integrated microphone will not.

I ended up using analog headsets (jack 3,5mm ) for the audio (“HD Audio” from the Wyse point of view) and then any USB webcam.

I’m using a Logitech C525 Webcam and a Plantronics Blackwire 5210, both of which are on the supported devices list according to the 8.6_013 Operating System Release Notes. You had luck using an analog composite headset for microphone and audio?

I just realized, the Blackwire 5210 has a removable quick-connect that converts it from USB to analog and now it works great! Thank you so much 🙂
