In a nut shell, when some of our users log off their Windows XP SP3 VDI ( VMware View 4.5) while using the c10LE terminals, they receive a End Task/Connection Tray message.. after many many hours of research with Microsoft and Wyse support, we discovered that TCX rich sound is the culprit..
the issue was when the sound control button is enabled on the task bar.. it causes TCX rich sound to fail on log off, as a sound request is sent to the Wyse terminal during log off, when the request is received back by Windows it causes the End task to display
Is there anyone out there that has seen this issue? The fix for now is to disable the Sound control icon in the task bar
We are using the latest version of WTOS 7, Latest TCX, Latest version of RDP for Windows, and VMware View.
I believe we tested this out already but I will ask Josh again.. Has anyone seen this before? The work around works great ( disable the Sound icon in the taskbar menu) , but ultimately we need to fix this issue as it is infact RichSound TCX causing it..
