On the old Wyse Linux, there was a file I could edit via a package I would push from WDM that would set the root path on the remote device, essentially allowing me to point that S50 device to different wlx.ini configs on my WDM server from a central spot. Essentially a “ghetto DDC” for Linux.

I saw some admin guide stuff that you can do WTOS-like DDC with SUSE Linux but that doesn’t seem to work.

So, I’m playing with PC Extender/Suse Linux and I’m looking for the config file I can modify that will let me modify to set that ftp root path from a WDM package.

    Anybody know?

Suse Linux and WDM 4.8 works fine with DDC. You should try this (again).

I only have “pc-extender” for SUSE so I’m not sure if that behaves differently. I tried the DDC for it and failed miserably.

On that note, I did figure out how to create a package that points it to a new ftp root path and that works OK.

    Thanks.

    I must be missing something.

I’m able to import the .RSP file and create the image. Then I go to the DDC and attempt to set that up and after picking my config and image size, I don’t get any qualifying images.

Works A-OK with WTOS but not with Suse unless there is something slightly different that I’m not aware of.
