We are having a stange performance issue with a large proportion of our Wyse terms… 😕

We have two types of Wyse terminal we are using. The Wyse Blazer 1200LE’s, and the Wyse S10’s. All of the S10’s and roughly half of the 1200LE’s are suffering from a performance issue. On the affected terminals we notice about 10 seconds difference when clicking on records in our in house system and the screen tears and will not repair itself in office documents when scrolling. Similarly when looking at google maps for example, say zooming in to a map the unaffeted ones will display almost instantaneously while the other will take up to 5 seconds to display.

Move the units to another location and they display the exact same behaviour so definately not a network issue. Checked all info on the setups of all of them and they are all configured the same and they all run off the same wnos.ini file. I cannot work it out.

    Running presentation server 4.0
Firmware Versions on 1200s are 5.1.041
Firmware Versions on S10’s are 5.1.028F

Any ideas on finding out what may be causing this, and how to resolve it would be much appreciated!

    Hi WyseOldMan,

(I really think this should be my name as I hit 41 on my last birthday)

Yep, try moving from 5.1x down to 5.0 or up to 5.2 and this should help,

    Cheers,

    Thanks NotSoWyseButOld 😉

i have tested one term with the 5.2 firmware and down to 5.0, and disabled alternate caching on presentation server 4, but am still experiencing the problems..

not sure what else to do 🙁
