Have terminals running wyos 7.0.0_30 WYSE CX10
have the WYSE usb to serial adaptor as these dont have serial ports.
have a device connected to the serial port.
If the device is disconnected and the terminal is rebooted the USB to serial is detected as a “MCT” (what ever that stands for)
Connect the device and all works fine via citrix.
If you leave the device connected to the USB serial cable the terminal sees a “HID” device detected. now when serial data come down the mouse and keyboard get filled with junk.
also the Com1 mapping in citrix fails.
my question. is there a WYSE.ini setting that stops the wyse terminals probling the serial device and just load the USB addaptor as a serial “MCT” device.
very anyoying problem.
Dont have this issue on the old 1125SE with built in serial.

response from wyse support
Unfortunately this is the limitation of the USB to com convertor. It is the only way it works.
If you need a serial port as per the required behaviour , you will need buy a thin client with a serial port for serial device connection.
We offer the R class or the V class which has the legacy ports.
