I have a 9150 that someone changed the administrator and user passwords on and it has static IP assigned to it so I am unable to obtain a IP using DHCP. Does anyone know how I can remove the IP settings and allow the client to grab an IP using DCHP? What I really need to do reset the admin password or is re-image the box so its set back to the factory default. Thanks for the help.

If you don’t mind to reimage the box, you can use Wyse Simple Imager or the USB Imager from this website.
The image can be found at Wyse.com.

    ConfGen,

The only problem with Wyse Simple Imager is that it requires DHCP (which is my issue) and I can’t find the USB Imager on the Wyse website!

    Thanks,

    Hi John,

No problem, if you had WDM and it was on the network you can send a package down to change the passwords or even move from static to DHCP:

    http://www.freewysemonkeys.com/site/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&lid=101&ttitle=NetSH_DHCP

    and

    http://www.freewysemonkeys.com/site/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&lid=8&ttitle=ChangePass

But really the simplest way is to use Wyse Simple Imager – remember WSI is PXE so it all happens pre OS. You can re-imae the device even if Windows has a static, in fact it will work even if Windows i corrupt!

There is a beta USB imager on this site but try WSI first, its on Wyse.com,

    Cheers,

Can you do a “g key reset” on the 9150?

G-key reset is only supported on WTOS, CE and Linux – not XPe
