    Looking to enable a smartphone to be passed through as a USB storage device. USB redirection is working for a USB flash drive but the smartphone is not being picked up in the remote session.

    Device viewer is listing the device as: Wyse VUSB [Vid_04E8 Pid_6865]

    Connecting to an ICA connection.

    Relevant section of wnos.ini goes as follows:

    ;*************************************************************
    ;* ICA *
    ;*************************************************************

    SessionConfig=ICA \
    AudioQuality=Low \
    MapDisks=yes \
    USBRedirection=HDX \
    MapDisksUnderZ=A-Z

    ;————————————————————-
    ;- ICA Session 1 –
    ;- Each line but the last must end with a ‘ \’ –
    ;————————————————————-

    CONNECT=ICA \
    BrowserIP=”****” \
    Application=”Remote Desktop” \
    Description=”Citrix Desktop” \
    Colors=16m \
    Fullscreen=yes \
    HTTPBrowsing=1 \
    Resolution=default \
    Domainname=**** \
    NoReducer=yes \
    Icon=citrix.bmp \
    LocalCopy=no

    You are using a direct ICA connection to a published desktop. In this case there is no real USB redirection.
    Mass storage device, printer, keyboard, mouse, etc. will be redirected but not all USB devices.
    For all devices being able to be redirected, there has to be a driver locally installed. For smartphones there is none. That’s the reason a smartphone is not being redirected.
    Only two options would be
    – use XenDesktop with a virtualized session
    – use Dell Wyse TCX for USB redirection
