Tried to several card readers today on Z90D7 (firmware 818) and C90LE7 and failed. Neither OmniKey 3021 nor Aladdin eToken 72K worked. I installed drivers for eToken but when plugged it in WES7 told that it couldn’t find the driver. The same happened with OmniKey though Wyse supported it previously. I plugged OmniKey into W7 laptop – drivers were found automatically. MS CCID driver was assigned to eToken on W7 also. Maybe someone has an idea how can I make WES7 to find drivers? Thanks

We have C90LE7 (WES7) and had to install the drivers directly onto each of our thin clients. It was the only way our smart card readers will work.

At the moment the problem is fixed. But at the time of my previous post it wasn’t possible even to install smart-card reader drivers due to some problems in WES 7. Now CCID readers work with the standard image.

We had trouble in the beginning. We had initially put the drivers on all the RDS servers, but everytime the thin clients were restarted, or a login occurred, they wanted to automatically install different card reader drivers–the default Windows drivers.

Putting them on each thin client solved our problem, though not like we hoped. I mean, that took a lot of time.
