    Anyone got a WNOS.INI template for a citrix desktop icon setup for the S10?

    Basically I have the sessions setup in the connection manager but I want to run the system as locked down as possible. Is there a way to auto-load the ICA programs and/or just place a desktop with icons to the various citrix apps so I can run the system with privledge=none. My current setup (and privledge=none) does not allow the ICA connection manager to run.

    I’m sure there’s a setting in the ICA section you can set to desktop – or do you have to use a 2nd Ini file and define your icons desktop etc? Seems like that might be the case, still researching but thanks for taking a look thinkthin!

    Hi,

    Here is the issue, you need to specify the Icon=default param to get the desktop icon like this:

    CONNECT=ICA
    Icon=default
    Application=”Adobe 8 Reader”
    Description=”Adobe 8 Reader”
    Seamless=yes
    LocalCopy=no

    You can make your own icons too, icon=nexus.bmp.

    I notice you have a username buried in to the files and you have a link to Lexus so I guess you work in a law environment, you poor guy! 🙂

    This causes issue having every user log in with the same username, I assume you are creating a Kiosk environment so how about this.

    You could pass through a specific username or a username based on the terminal name, check out the pass though example here:

    http://www.freewysemonkeys.com/site/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&lid=78&ttitle=Pass_Thru_WNOS.zip

    The trick is to use Signon=1 and set a username for all connections like this:

    username=1234
    password=1234
    or
    username=$TN
    password=$MAC

    One other option is to use PNagent to publish the applications to the terminal desktop.

    I hope this helps,

    Cheers,
    -TT

    Basically I want to use this config and use the connect manager only, however I’ve been unable to hide the IP address with the HideIP=yes function – any clues? If I set the priviledge to none, I cant even get the connect manager, even with the maximize flag, however I’m able to lock down everything I need under priviledge=low except the IP. Here’s my config

    ;*************************************************************
    ;* General 1 *
    ;*************************************************************

    autoload=0
    Privilege=High HideSysInfo=yes HidePPP=yes HidePN=yes

    ;*************************************************************
    ;* Network *
    ;*************************************************************

    SignOn=No
    HideIP=yes

    The PPPoE, Dialup, and PPTP manager are hidden but not the System information

    I used the Icon=default paramter, worked out great. The unit can then be placed in a privledge=none mode and still have ICA access via the Icons.
