    Hi,

since upgrading to v6.1.5_03 of WTOS on our S10 units, seamless Citrix applications no longer work. We are using PNLite to enumerate the applications and our WNOS.ini file has the line “Seamless=yes”, however the application doesn’t show on screen. An application button appears in the task bar of the S10 but nothing shows on screen; no application window.

As it turns out, all of our published Citrix applications are configured with a display setting of “Full Screen” and changing that to “640 x 480” or some other setting causes the seamless applications to appear on screen and function as expected. We only see this behaviour on the new firmware – our 1200LE and S10s on v5.x firmware have no problems at all.

Has anybody else run into similar issues?

    Thanks in advance,
    Doug.

    Hi,

sorry, but I haven’t seen that.
Can you give us a few more details about your environment incl wnos.ini?

Hi CG, thanks for the reply. We are running a Citrix XenApp 4.5 with Feature Pack 1 farm that has had Hotfix Rollup Pack 2 installed. We had issues with our S10s not authenticating/logging on after installing HR02 on our XenApp farm. Users would log on and nothing would happen. We had no problems with our 1200LE units, only our S10s. So we upgraded to v6.1.5_03 and found this new issue. Users could now log on but don’t see the applications running. As near as I can tell the issue relates to seamless applications and the fact that our published apps are all configured with a display setting of “Full Screen” within XenApp.

Our WNOS.ini file is as follows:

Exactly the same problem here with a V10L. Firmware version: 6.2.0_08.
The CPS farm is at the same level but we are using x64.
    Any hints?

Tramamo, our work around was to configure the wnos.ini file to point to two Citrix servers that had the Web Interface installed, for the PNLite agent. We had two of the servers in our farm that used to also be Web Interface servers – we have since moved to a dedicated WI server. For reasons unknown, using those servers, which share port 80 with IIS, fixed our issues. If we point the S10s at the XML service on any of the other servers in the farm we have issues.

Now I wonder what will happen to the S10s when I rebuild the farm from the ground up for XenApp 5? At least I know to test for it before we go live. 😕

WTOS is known to not work with WI. You have always point the unit to a PNAgent server. Of course this could be the same server hosting both services. But PNAgent service must be configured and running.
