    Hi,
Great stuff here on the site, thanks for the info. I finally managed to get my S10 client to read from the filerserver correclty. However, while adjusting lockdown settings the G key-reset was disabled and the device is in a lockdown, no privledge mode. The IP is set as static just as it was before however I cannot get new files to read correctly from the FTP server to unlock the device. Am I screwed? Time to sent it back for a reflash ๐Ÿ™„ ? help! Thanks

I see that there’s a way to read the FTP info from the switch – going to try that method. Wasn’t sure if I had the proper tools.

    Hi,

No, you can recover. What you need to do is set your switch to “port Mirror” – it sends every packet so a selected port. Plug your notebook into that port with Ethereal loaded. You can then see the IP and FTP path that the terminal is looking for.

Once you have this just put the wnos.ini back where the terminal expects it to be.

Yes its a bit of mucking around but very do-able

    Good Luck!

Well, I guess I’ll have to send it back. Some how it got loaded with a 27.660.***.*** address. Typo in the config file. Attempts at creating a file server with that sort of ip fail.
