I have a PS4 /windows 2000 environment with 2 load balanced servers and S10s thins. i seem to have an issue with reconnecting to disconnected sessions.
They do not seem to want to reliably connect back an existing session unless they connect to the server that the session was originally on. I have tried Pnlite with published apps and published desktop. I have also tried just published desktop and no go.
Here is my config for the pnlite:
PnliteServer=http://citrix5 ReconnectAtLogon=2 ReconnectFromButton=2

What version of firmware are you on?
-TT23. October 2006 at 13:28 #8874
I am assuming that System Version is the firmware. It is HF 5.0.013.4f

You will need later firmware to support this feature. Contact Wyse support and ask for S10 firmware 5.0.058 or newer. This should sort it out as the version you have does not support the reconnect commands,

I will give that a shot and post the results.
These are pretty much brand new. i figured the firmware would have shipped newer that it is!

Worked like a charm!

Great news Doug!
I had a look at the WNOS.INI you posted and here are a few small changes:
PnliteServer=citrix5 ReconnectAtLogon=2 ReconnectFromButton=2
DeskColor=”000 000 000″
Also have a look in the Blazer download section for the PNagent example, there are settings for local printers to desktop wallpaper to make the termial look nice!
As for the firmware the factory firmware is always behind as it has the last fully QA’ed version. Internally Wyse do weekly builds for bug fixes and enhancements. Its not really required to be on the latest firmware unless there is a specific issue (like yours) to be fixed. The weekly builds have not been through the full QA proccess which is why Wyse don’t post them I guess.
Thanks for supporting the site!

I am having the same problem with the S10s. However, I have tried the v5.0.058 and v5.0.061 firmwares and it still doesn’t work. Any other ideas? Wyse hasn’t responded to the support email that I submitted a couple of weeks ago.
PS3.0 w/ R05
Win2k3 Server – hotfixes installed, no SP1 yet though.
Any suggestions?20. December 2006 at 1:45 #8929
What is in you wnos.ini – can you post it? I found that the application should be connected once you launch any other application. The disconnected apps will not open automatically on log-in but they all reconnected in my test environment (2 servers – PS4)

Below is a sample of what is set for the global settings, and for a session that I am trying to get session reliability to work with. I am actually starting to wonder if this is an issue with the winterms and PS3.0. I am working on getting a test PS4.0 farm setup so I can test this.
The funny thing is that if I unplug the network cable from the winterm while it is connected to a session, it reconnects properly to the session that goes into a disconnected state just fine.

The re-connect feature will not work with your setup.
Because you are launching a ICA session and then passing the username to the login there is no way the Citrix DC to look up if you have a session to connect to. This is because the connection has already been made to the server.
This is the same as a PC with the full ICA PN client with a shortcut to a desktop.
The only way you can use the reconnect to existing sessions is if you send the userid with the login, this requires the signon=1 command. Have a look at the pass-through example I posted recently here in the Blazer download – configurations.
Finally pulling the cable out is different as the terminal is trying to recover its active connection. Also session reliability is not supported on the WTOS.
I hope this helps, for you to use this feature set up a pass though setup, you can hard code the user in if you like as I notice you have this in your setup,

Thanks much, thinkthin! 😀
I used the PNLite agent on an S10 winterm and I got it working. I looked at your pass-through example which also helped. I tend to forget about the PNAgent since we don’t use it in our production environment.
