    We got USB-to-Serial Converter from Wyse and used it with S10 v6.4. I can’t see any aditional COM ports in the terminal session (i.e. the only COM1 is natural S10 COM) but I managed to ‘install’ modem to COM2. Question: is this by design that no new COM ports appears or some kind of a bug? If by design then how customer can learn which USB corresponds to which COM port?

    This should work out of the box. I have customers using this adapter with S10 to attached several serial devices. Works fine for them.

    I say – it is working and surprisingly well:-) But ‘new’ COM port is not appearing as device in Windows device manager and hence some application can refuse working with COM2 if it is not there. Is there some way to tell Windows that one (two…) more serial port exists? Thanks.

    Have you defined both serial ports in the wnos.ini?

    I added
    Serial=COM1 Baud=9600 Parity=None Stop=1 Size=8 Flow=None
    Serial=COM2 Baud=9600 Parity=None Stop=1 Size=8 Flow=None

    to the WNOS.INI. S10 in sys info says now it has 2 serial ports but the picture remains the same on the server side.
