I recently borrowed an evaluation S10 from Wyse that worked perfectly for what I want. We have now ordered 5, and they have arrived. However they do not exhibit the same behaviour as the evaluation one. We have an industrial keyboard with a PS2 keyboard and PS2 tracker ball. With the evaluation S10 I plugged this into a PS2 to USB converter that takes the keyboard and tracker ball and converts to a single USB connector. This works perfectly with every PC I have tried it on and with the evaluation S10.
However on the new ones, the keyboard works OK, but the tracker ball does not. Moving the tracker ball results in no movement of the cursor. However holding down the left button results in the cursor moving horizontally only. It appears to be generating a lot of click events too. A USB mouse does the same thing, and a PS2 mouse plugged in to a single PS2 to USB converter does exactly the same. The software version is 6.2.0_8f (ROM:1.14i). Another unit from the 5 has the same problem.

I know the obvious answer is use USB stuff only, but I can’t, and the evaluation S10 worked perfectly. DOes anyone know of any issues with this version of software?

I have seen this kind of issues several times. Mostly changing the adapter fixed the issue.
In your case it is kind of strange as the same adapter worked on the demo unit.
I would contact Wyse and ask if they know which firmware version they provided to you on the test box and reflash my 5 units then. Or test with a different adapter. I was using a ConnectPro Model MT-606. Don’t know if this is still available.

    Solved!

I contacted Wyse and they sent new firmware.

One flash and it was fixed 😀
