I’m looking to rename several hundred PC Extender clients through WDM or a script. Anyone have any ideas on the easiest and quickest path on how I would go about doing this? I know there is the option to highlight a listing of the clients in WDM, click “Change Device Info” and start at a number, and it will rename them sequentially. I just thought there might be another, easier way.
Thanks!
I think this is already quite an easy way but nevertheless.
Second option could (but test before), to delete all clients from WDM, import the client from a textfile again which contains the new names and correct MAC addresses.
Then reboot or start the PCE. It should check in again and rename itself automatically.
