I have some 3125SEs running CE/Ce.net and occasionaly users will get a warning message regarding their device license expiring.
The only remedy we have seen is to reflash the ICA addon which clears the license stored on the device.
Is there an easier way of doing this?

If you have the RDP addon installed you can go into the control pannel and remove the TSCAL from the RDP applet. There is also a package you can push to do this but I will have to dig this up….

By the way, is there any mileage in using the clear license feature for the thinOS devices within WNOS.INI while we are on the subject?
For Thin OS this works well, I would not leave the clear TS CAL in the file too long. Just clear the licence and remove the line. WTOS stores the TSCAL information in the NIC EPROM so it is kept even if flashed.
BTW, the RDP applet thing is there on CE 5 but I did not check on CE4x – I have a feeling it may not and will need the addon to remove it,

How do I get the EraseTSCal utility added into rapport as a ADDON?
Hi,
Hit the wyse.com site and go to the knowledge base and under reference guides – CE get the CE Add-on Admin Guide (I would load it here but I am out of space on FWM again). 🙁
Basically you ftp the add-on down and rather than it installing any thing it blows the MSlicence keys away and reboots.
You could also use this add-on and make a rapport script to push it out as well if you have lots of devices.
